
SANDWICH — A 40-year-old Sandwich man was arrested on child pornography charges following an investigation prompted by a CyberTip received by the Massachusetts State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
According to the Sandwich Police Department, the CyberTip alleged that an online account later identified as belonging to Robert Sullivan, 40, of Sandwich, was used to possess and disseminate child pornography.
The tip was assigned to a task force officer from the Sandwich Police Department’s Detective Division.
On Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, Sandwich police detectives, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Barnstable Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence in Sandwich and arrested Sullivan on the following charges:
- Possession of Child Pornography
- Dissemination of Child Pornography
Sullivan was booked at the Sandwich Police Department before he was arraigned in Barnstable District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, where he was ordered held on $25,000 cash bail.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to the Sandwich Police Department.
The Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
