FRAMINGHAM — On Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Framingham police received a 911 call from a residence on Waverly Street reporting an assault and an unresponsive woman.
According to Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan and Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker, responding officers found a 33-year-old woman dead inside the residence.
Police arrested Flavio Alcantra Dias, 43, in connection with the assault. He was expected to be arraigned on Friday, Aug. 28, in Framingham District Court on a charge of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury.
The preliminary investigation indicates Dias knew the victim.
The death remains under investigation by the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office, and Framingham police.
