DEDHAM — On Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at approximately 11:14 p.m., Dedham’s E-911 Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a two-vehicle crash in the area of 960 Washington Street.
According to Dedham Police Chief Michael d’Entremont, callers also reported that the vehicles had collided head-on and that one of the vehicles was on fire.
Dedham police and fire department personnel responded to the scene along with Coastal Ambulance and members of the Westwood police and fire departments.
First responders provided aid to an injured person inside one of the vehicles and extinguished the fire.
Chief d’Entremont said assistance was requested at the scene, and personnel from the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section responded. The Massachusetts State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section was also contacted.
The roadway was closed while investigators examined the scene and crews cleared the roadway.
Chief d’Entremont said no further information is available at this time.
