Two found dead after missing aircraft crashes in wooded area in Ludlow

LUDLOW — On the evening of Saturday, Sept. 5, 2026, local and state authorities responded to the Ludlow area following a report of a missing aircraft.

According to Hampden District Attorney Anthony Gulluni, authorities searched the area and located the aircraft in a wooded area off Center Street.

Two people were found dead at the scene.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) were notified and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, Gulluni said.

The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Hampden District Attorney’s Office is investigating the crash in coordination with Ludlow police, the FAA and the NTSB.
