Providence man arrested for shoplifting $1,113 merchandise from Kohl’s in Milford

MILFORD — On Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at approximately 6:22 p.m., the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a report of a suspected shoplifting incident at the Kohl’s located at 91 Medway Road.

According to Medford Police Chief Robert Tusino, Kohl’s loss prevention personnel reported observing a male suspect shoplifting.

Responding officers located a man matching the suspect’s description pushing a shopping cart filled with merchandise from Kohl’s toward Town Fair Tire.

The man was identified as Malcom Gill, 51, of Providence, Rhode Island. Chief Tusino said a records check revealed that Gill was wanted on two active arrest warrants stemming from similar shoplifting-related offenses.

As a result of the investigation, police recovered merchandise valued at $1,113.84 from Gill.

Malcom Gill, 51, of Providence, Rhode Island, was charged with the following:

  • Shoplifting by Asportation +$250
  • Warrant Arrest (two counts)

Following his arrest, Gill was held without bail until his arraignment the following day.
