HAVERHILL — Two 22-year-olds were arrested for kidnapping, armed assault and other violent offense charges following an extensive investigation by the Haverhill Police Department.
Andy Lahens, 22, of Everett, and Ali Cali, 22, of Cambridge, were each charged with the following:
- Kidnapping
- Assault to Rob, Armed
- Armed and Masked Robbery
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
According to the Haverhill Police Department, one of the suspects was arrested in Canton, while the other was arrested in Cambridge.
“This investigation involved significant investigative work over an extended period of time,” the Haverhill Police Department said in a statement. “We would like to thank the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Special Tactical Operations Team (STOP)Team, the Cambridge Police Department, and the Canton Police Department for their assistance and cooperation throughout the investigation and apprehension of the suspects.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
The Haverhill Police Department said additional information will be released when appropriate and when doing so will not compromise the investigation or pending court proceedings.
