FITCHBURG — Shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday morning, the Fitchburg Fire Department announced a one-alarm fire on their Facebook page.
According to the department’s post, the Fitchburg Fire Department responded to 102 Laurel Street Sunday morning following reports of a kitchen fire in the residence.
According to Realtor.com, 102 Laurel Street is a 3,715 square foot, six bed, four bathroom multi-family home that was built in 1920. It was last sold on March 13, 2000 for $89,900.
Fire fighters were able to contain the fire to the kitchen and put it out quickly, the department said.
No injuries were reported and none of the residents of the building were displaced.
The Leominster and Westminster fire departments provided mutual aid to the Fitchburg Fire Department.
