WORCESTER โ On Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Officer Johangel Lorenzo of the Leominster Police Department was patrolling the downtown area when he observed โa domestic incident in progressโ between a man and woman in the rear parking lot of the apartment building located at 39 Main Street.

โPlease note the following: I observed the female individual waving her hands very close to the male individual’s face at a distance of less than an inch,โ Officer Lorenzo said. โThis prompted me to intervene, separate the parties and call for backup. Shortly after, Officer [Jonathan] Ramos arrived on scene, and assisted me with interviewing and separating the male party. I identified the female party as Shannon Fallon.โ
In addition to Officer Ramos, Officer Caulin Salvi also responded to the scene.
According to police, Shannon E. Fallon, 30, is a resident of 39 Main Street, Leominster, MA.
Officer Salvi said that when he arrived on scene, Officer Ramos was speaking with the male party and Officer Lorenzo was speaking with Fallon.
โI observed how the male party was relaxed and was watching the female party – who in contrast – was yelling at Officer Lorenzo from an armโs distance away,โ Officer Salvi recounted. โI remained in between my fellow officers and the separated parties but was closer to the female who was still screaming and was highly agitated that the police had separated her from her husband.โ

Officer Salvi said that while Officer Lorenzo was attempting to speak with Fallon, she was yelling and โdid not appear to want to cooperate.โ
โA female resident of either 39 Main Street or the adjacent apartment had stopped to throw her garbage out and paused to observe Shannon’s disturbance,โ Officer Salvi said. โOfficer Ramos stated that she stopped again before re-entering her home because Shannon had still not stopped yelling. Shannon was asked by Officer Lorenzo to slow down and breathe, also to relax, and was rewarded with additional yelling.โ
Officer Salvi reported observing a family with two children walking along Water Street who quickened their pace and left the immediate area.
โI then told Shannon to calm down and talk to Officer Lorenzo and that she did not need to yell at him for trying to help,โ Officer Salvi added. โAt this time, it was observed that a small group of people were at the rear parking lot of the old Fix/the parking lot of Brady’s, this group also paused to observe what was going on because Shannon’s yelling was so loud that it was carrying to that lot. It was apparent that Shannon was not going to stop yelling and cooperate so that officers could properly investigate what appeared to be a verbal domestic argument over a trip to Market Basket.โ
Officer Salvi stated that Fallon yelled at Officer Lorenzo, claiming he โdid not know the other side of the story.โ According to Officer Salvi, officers had been attempting to get Fallon to explain her side, but when Officer Lorenzo reminded her of this, she contradicted her earlier statement she โyelled about how nothing had happened.โ
Officer Salvi said that he warned Fallon that if she didnโt calm down and talk to Officer Lorenzo that she would be arrested for disturbing the peace.
โShe continued yelling and I told her to place her hands behind her back and informed her she was under arrest for disturbing the peace,โ Officer Salvi said. โShannon did not like being told this and still yelled at officers until she was secured in my cruiser. Officer Lorenzo was then able to finish investigating the cause of the original disturbance. Other residents of 39 Main Street were not able to get into their home because of the police response, while waiting, they were treated to Shannon’s continued yelling from inside the cruiser. Shannon stated that she was a diabetic, [her husband] confirmed this, she was evaluated by Leominster Fire Department paramedics and determined to not need any medical assistance before being transported to the station for booking.โ
Fallon was charged with disturbing the peace.
After Fallonโs arrest, Officer Lorenzo spoke with her husband, Jason [last name redacted], who initially stated he was unsure what had upset his wife.
โHe explained that they missed the bus while going to Market Basket,โ Officer Lorenzo said. โJason also mentioned that he decided not to accompany her to Market Basket, so he tried to retrieve her keys from the apartment. According to Jason, she began yelling because she wanted his keys. When I asked Jason if anything physical had occurred, he confirmed that nothing physical had happened. I then informed Jason of the rights of an abused person, to which he declined at that time.โ
Fallon was arraigned by Judge Mark Noonan in Leominster District Court on Oct. 7, 2024. During her arraignment, Fallon plead guilty to one count of disturbing the peace. Judge Noonan waived the fee and the case was filed at 4:00 p.m.
