SHREWSBURY — Shrewsbury police are looking for the owner of a German shepherd that was abandoned in the area of 1000 Boston Turnpike near the Christmas Tree Shops on Sunday.
According to police, the dog was tied by his leash to a bench by his owner at approximately 10:00 a.m. His owner was reportedly seen leaving the area in a taxi cab.
The dog is neutered and wearing a black collar with a chain leash. He has no microchip.
The dog is being held by the Worcester Animal Rescue League and is not available for adoption at this time.
