Winchendon — The Winchendon Fire Department announced Monday that Jim Bevilacqua, a firefighter and divemaster with the department passed away unexpectedly.
“Jim’s love of the fire service combined with his underwater skills made him a natural to train many area firefighters in ice and water rescue. Jim took great pleasure in helping others in this manner,” the Winchendon Fire Department said. “Jim will be missed by many people in so many ways. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jim’s family.”
The Winchendon Fire Department said that the information on Mr. Bevilacqua’s funerary services will be announced at a later date.
