PRINCETON — NEADS World Class Service Dogs, headquartered in Princeton, MA, is actively seeking teams and sponsors to participate in the NEADS Pulling 4 Paws Truck Pull, set to take place on Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Polar Park in Worcester.
Teams of 15 will put their strength to the test, vying to pull an 18-wheeler in record time. Among the event’s esteemed sponsors are Presenting Sponsor RAWZ Natural Pet Food, along with Polar Beverages, Abaris Financial Group, Morgan Stanley, and D’Ambrosio Eye Care.
The competition isn’t just about strength and speed; it’s also about giving back. Winners earn major bragging rights and a trophy, while the team that raises the most funds overall will be rewarded with a special prize. Furthermore, participants contribute to NEADS’ mission of providing life-changing Service and Assistance Dogs to individuals in need.
Teams interested in participating are required to pay an entry fee of $500, with a recommended fundraising goal of $2,500. Due to space limitations, NEADS advises early registration. Those interested can find more information and register online. Local businesses can also support the cause by becoming event sponsors. Spectator tickets are available for purchase online.
NEADS CEO Gerry DeRoche expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its significance for both participants and spectators.
“The truck pull is a great opportunity for friends and partners to come together to have some fun and enjoy the scenic view of the park while supporting our incredible service dog programs,” DeRoche remarked. “I promise, you don’t want to miss it. In addition to the thrilling truck pull, the event will feature family-friendly activities, games, food, and entertainment. New this year is Zoomies 4 Paws, a race specifically designed for children. Participants will have the chance to race around the field alongside WooSox mascot Smiley Ball.
