LUNENBURG — Authorities are investigating the death of a 29-year-old man whose body was recovered from Lake Whalom on Saturday night.
The District 8 Dive Team, a specialized unit of fire fighters from departments across North Central Massachusetts, responded to the scene around 8:15 p.m., following reports of a man entering the water and not resurfacing.
After about an hour of searching, the man’s body was located, and he pronounced deceased.
The man’s identity has not been released, and the cause of his death remains under investigation.
