STOW โ A man was rescued from Lake Boon this morning with the assistance of the Stow Fire and Police Departments, according to Interim Fire Chief Barry Evers and Police Chief Michael Sallese.
The incident occurred on Saturday, August 24, around 11:30 a.m., when Stow’s Police and Fire Departments received a call reporting that a man had fallen into Lake Boon.
While first responders were en route, they were informed that the man was no longer visible above the water.
Upon arrival, police and fire personnel found the 70-year-old Stow resident in the water, where he was being assisted by a bystander.
Police and fire personnel worked together with the bystander to pull the man from the lake and then began administering CPR.
The man was subsequently transported to a local hospital by Patriot Ambulance.
His current condition is unknown.
