WORCESTER — A woman was killed in a shooting described as a “domestic incident” in Worcester early Thursday morning, according to police.
Officers responded to a residence on Gingerbread Trail at 2:05 a.m. after receiving a report of the incident, a spokesperson for the Worcester Police Department said.
A man was also found with a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital for treatment. His condition was not disclosed.
Police have confirmed that the incident was domestic in nature and stated that, as of Thursday evening, no further information would be released.
Authorities assured the public that there is no ongoing threat related to the event.
