Two hospitalized after head-on collision in Princeton

PRINCETON — Two people were hospitalized following a two-car head-on collision on Redemption Rock Trail (Route 140) in Princeton on the morning of Thursday, January 23, 2025, according to the Princeton Fire Department.

A statement posted by the fire department on social media at 9:29 a.m. confirmed the incident and noted that crews responded to the crash with assistance from the Westminster Fire Department, Princeton Police Department, Westminster Garage, Inc., Wachusett Regional Emergency Communications Center, and the Princeton Department of Public Works.

Both patients were transported to area hospitals for further care, though their conditions have not been disclosed.

Route 140 was temporarily closed during the emergency response and investigation but has since reopened.

The Princeton Police Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. The identities of those involved have not been released.
