Five-alarm fire in East Lynn engulfs two buildings, firefighters remain on scene

LYNN — A five-alarm fire erupted in East Lynn on Friday night, originating at 60 Estes Street before spreading to a nearby structure at 10 Chestnut St., according to a social media post from the Lynn Fire Department at approximately 9:43 p.m. Both buildings became fully involved, prompting an extensive firefighting effort.

Fire crews are still on the scene, working to contain the blaze, and officials anticipate an extended response due to the severity of the fire.

The Lynn Fire Department announced that a media staging area has been established at Lewis St. and Breed St. for coverage of the ongoing incident.
