LEOMINSTER — On Thursday, March 13, 2025, at approximately 5:57 p.m., Officer Johangel Lorenzo of the Leominster Police Department was patrolling the downtown area when he observed a black BMW with Florida plates, heading inbound on West Street.

“I recognized the driver as Marcus Beaudoin,” Officer Lorenzo said. “From a prior encounter with Marcus that occurred a few days ago, I was aware that his license was suspended. I ran his name through CJIS [the FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services database] that stated his license was suspended. I followed the vehicle onto Mechanic Street (public way) and conducted a motor vehicle stop at 112 Whitney Street.”
According to police, Marcus A. Beaudoin, 18, is a resident of 211 Sixth Street, Leominster, MA.
“Upon approaching the vehicle, Marcus stated that he was still working on getting his license fixed,” Officer Lorenzo said. “Geno, a passenger in the car, had an active driver’s license. When I asked Geno why he allowed Marcus to drive, knowing that his license was suspended, he replied that he thought it was fixed.”

At this time, Officer Lorenzo called for backup.
“I ran Marcus’s information through dispatch, which confirmed that his license was indeed suspended,” Officer Lorenzo said. “I notified him of this fact, reminding him that he had been informed during our previous encounter.”
Officer Lorenzo then asked Beaudoin to step out of the vehicle and placed him under arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. The officer then conducted a search incident to arrest before placing Beaudoin in the back of his cruiser.
“Marcus had a wallet full of cash, a cell phone, and another pair of keys, all of which I placed in the cruiser,” Officer Lorenzo said. Later adding, “I informed both Marcus and Geno that the vehicle would be towed. Both individuals became nervous and upset about the impending tow.”
Officer Lorenzo stated that he requested a police tow through dispatch, which was approved by the street supervisor. He then called for another backup officer before conducting an inventory of the vehicle.
“During the inventory of the vehicle, I opened the driver’s side door and observed a large glassine sandwich bag containing a greenish-brown substance that due to my training and experience, appeared to be marijuana,” Officer Lorenzo said. “Additionally, I found multiple glassine sandwich bags containing a similar substance located in the driver side inner door card of the vehicle. Marcus claimed that the bag of marijuana was his, while Geno later asserted that it was his. Continuing to the passenger side, I discovered another clear glassine bag containing one green leafy bud substance with the number ‘105’ written on it. Based on my training and experience, I believed this was also marijuana. Please note that the marijuana had been separated into individual small, green leafy bud balls; this is typically associated with an intent to distribute. At this point, Geno was also detained due to the amount of marijuana found, which appeared to exceed the legal limit of one ounce.”
Officer Lorenzo continued the inventory of the vehicle, and in the trunk, he located multiple boxes of vaping and nicotine products.
“One specific box contained several packages of flavored marijuana,” Officer Lorenzo said. “There were 11 boxes of Nerd-flavored premium cannabis flower, each containing 7 grams, totaling 77 grams. There were also 10 boxes of Oreo-flavored premium cannabis flower, each with 7 grams, amounting to 70 grams. Additionally, the trunk contained two boxes of Fruit Roll-Up flavored marijuana with 3.5 grams each, totaling 7 grams. [Also] in the box, there was one container of liquid marijuana weighing 2 grams, along with five red boxes of Ace Ultra premium liquid marijuana, each containing 2,000 mg, for a total of 12 grams of liquid marijuana.”
Officer Lorenzo said that when Geno was questioned about the marijuana, he stated that it was for personal use by him and his cousin, who was coming from California.
“He was read his Miranda rights and stated that he would no longer talk to us,” Officer Lorenzo said. “Geno, as the passenger in the vehicle, was free to leave.”
Officer Lorenzo stated that all of the marijuana was confiscated and placed into his cruiser. Shortly thereafter, Able Towing arrived on scene. He informed the tow operator that the vehicle was a rental and was being towed because it had been operated by a driver with a suspended license.
“Back at the station, while being booked and processed, Marcus Beaudoin stated that he was unemployed. His wallet contained $1,019,” Officer Lorenzo said. “Due to the possibility that this money was profit from the distribution of a controlled substance, I seized it for evidence. Using a scale, I measured all the clear sandwich bags containing the green-brown substance, which was determined to be marijuana, totaling 60 grams. Combined with the suspected marijuana in the flavored boxes, the total amount was 214 grams. The legal limit for possession is one ounce, and 214 grams is approximately 7.5 ounces.”
Beaudoin was arrested and charged with:
- Operating Motor Vehicle with License Suspended
- Possess to Distribute Class D Drug
- Possess Class D Drug
Beaudoin was arraigned in Leominster District Court on March 14, 2025. Following his arraignment, he was released on personal recognizance.
His next court date is a pretrial hearing scheduled for April 23, 2025.
