WASHINGTON — Eric Meyer, the Senior Bureau Official for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, will travel to Pakistan next week as part of a U.S. delegation focused on advancing American interests in the minerals sector, the U.S. Department of State announced today.
Meyer will lead the interagency U.S. delegation, which is attending the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum in Islamabad from April 8 to 10, 2025.

The visit aims to expand opportunities for American businesses in Pakistan and strengthen economic relations between the two countries, according to the U.S. Department of State.
In addition to participating in the forum, Meyer is expected to meet with senior Pakistani officials to promote continued U.S.–Pakistan cooperation on economic development and reinforce the importance of collaboration on counterterrorism efforts.
