CLINTON — An eight-year-old boy died after he was found unresponsive in a body of water in Clinton this afternoon.
According to a joint statement from the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and the Clinton Police Department, at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Clinton police responded to Lakeside Avenue near the Clinton Housing Authority’s Harborview Apartments.
A short time later, an eight year old boy was found unresponsive in a nearby body of water.
The boy was taken by emergency personnel to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by the Clinton Police Department and State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
Police said no further information is being released at the present time.
