Police investigating bank robbery at Hometown Bank in Webster; suspect fled on motorcycle into Connecticut

WEBSTER — Webster police are investigating a bank robbery at Hometown Bank that took place this morning.

In a social media post made at approximately 9:45 a.m. today, the Webster Police Department said that the suspect fled the scene on a blue Suzuki GSXR motorcycle into Connecticut and is believed to no longer be in the area.

No additional details have been released at this time, including whether any injuries occurred, if a weapon was used, or which of the two Hometown Bank branches in Webster—218R Main Street or 4 Gore Road—was involved.
