Officer Edge said the man in the white sedan was identified as Todd [last name redacted], the manager of 435 Lancaster Street, the Gateway Business Center.

โ€œTodd further advised the complex was closed and that he had reason to believe a male who was previously trespassed from this location, had locked himself in one of the bathrooms accessible from the hallway,โ€ Officer Edge said. โ€œTodd was adamant that there was an individual inside of the bathroom because the door was locked and it could only be locked from the inside [via dead bolt].โ€

Officer Edge said that he then called dispatch and requested that they send a back-up officer with him to the business center in order to conduct a well being check. Officer Nicholas Rice was then dispatched to the scene.

โ€œDispatch soon confirmed a particular party was recently trespassed for similar behavior, identified as Mr. Miguel Bonaparte,โ€ Officer Edge said, adding that he has previously encountered Bonaparte while working as a Leominster police officer.

According to police, Miguel S. Bonaparte, 33, is a resident of [# redacted] Gilman Court, Charlotte, North Carolina.

โ€œAs I arrived outside the business of 435 [Lancaster Street] with Officer Rice, I activated my body worn camera and exited my cruiser,โ€ Officer Edge said. โ€œUpon seeing Todd outside the entrance, he verbally consented to having the bathroom door removed [via forced entry] by the fire department, if needed.โ€

Officer Edge said he entered the elevator to the 2nd floor and observed a bathroom in the hallway.

โ€œI knocked on the door and announced myself,โ€ Officer Edge said. โ€œShortly after, the door opened, and I observed Mr. Bonaparte in the flesh. With confirmation from the previous report and positively identifying Miguel, I advised him to place the backpack he had on โ€“ on the floor โ€“ and told him he was under arrest for trespassing after notice.โ€

Bonaparte placed his hands behind his back without issue, Officer Edge said.

โ€œI then handcuffed (double locked) his wrists and checked for tightness,โ€ Officer Edge said. โ€œI then asked Miguel if he was injured or needed medical attention (he verbally declined). I then pat frisked his person for weapons (none found). Miguel was placed in the rear compartment of Officer Riceโ€™s cruiser and transported to the station.โ€

Bonaparte was charged with:

  • Trespass

On June 20, 2025, a default warrant was issued by Judge Mark Noonan when Bonaparte didnโ€™t show up for his scheduled arraignment in Leominster District Court. On June 30, 2025, the warrant was recalled and Bonaparte was arraigned. Following his arraignment, he was released on $1,000 bail under the condition that he stay away from 435 Lancaster Street.
