Acton police investigate crash into home that may have been caused by medical emergency

ACTON — On Monday, Sept. 8, at approximately 7:14 p.m., Acton police and firefighters were dispatched to 4 Great Road following a report that a vehicle had crashed into the residence.

According to a joint statement from Acton’s Fire Chief Anita Arnum and Police Chief James Cogan, when crews arrived on scene, they located a car that appeared to have collided into the front of the residence.

The driver, a 74-year-old woman, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries.

A preliminary investigation indicated that the driver may have experienced a medical emergency at the time of the crash.

No other injuries were reported.

The Acton Building Inspector was also called to the scene.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated by Acton police.
