ACTON — A 17-year-old who was unaccounted for following the discovery of an adult woman and teenage boy found dead inside an Acton home Tuesday evening has been located.
On the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Acton Police Chief Douglas Sturniolo announced that Arjun Aravind had been located and that there was no risk to public safety.
Authorities did not immediately release additional information about where Aravind was located or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
The announcement came hours after Acton police responded to a home on Martha Lane shortly after 6:37 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, for a well-being check.
When officers arrived on scene, they found an adult woman and a teenage boy, dead inside the residence.
The cause and manner of their deaths remain under investigation.
During the initial investigation, authorities reported that Aravind, 17, a third member of the household, was unaccounted for. A 2014 green Honda Accord belonging to the deceased woman was also unaccounted for.
Investigators believed Aravind may have been operating the vehicle and issued a public alert asking anyone who saw him or the Honda Accord not to approach and to immediately call 911.
Aravind was described as approximately 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
An increased law enforcement presence was reported in Acton overnight as investigators searched for Aravind and continued investigating the deaths.
Ryan and Sturniolo are scheduled to provide an additional update during a press conference at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Acton Police Station.
