SOUTHBOROUGH — On Saturday, September 27, 2025, at approximately 5:51 p.m., Southborough Police Officer Jonathan Paiva responded to several reports of a naked man standing along the side of Parkerville Road.
According to a statement from Southborough’s Police Chief Ryan Newell, when Officer Paiva arrived on scene he located the unclothed man, who was visible to passing vehicles. The man, whose name was not released by police, is a 40-year-old Southborough resident.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that the man had allegedly ingested a mixture of narcotics and was experiencing a mental health crisis,” Chief Newell said. “The investigation revealed that several vehicles had driven past the man, including some that had children.”
The Southborough Fire Department responded to the scene, evaluated the man, and then transported him to an area hospital.
The man was charged with the following:
- Open and Gross Lewdness
- Indecent Exposure
- Disturbing the Peace
“Because the court has not yet issued a criminal complaint, the suspect’s identity cannot be released at this time,” Chief Newell explained.
The man will be summonsed to Westborough District Court at a later date.
“Our officers responded quickly to protect the public and ensure this individual received the medical care he needed,” Chief Newell said. “We understand that this incident may have been unsettling for those who witnessed it. We want the community to know that we brought the situation under control quickly and safely.”
