Grafton firefighters respond to car fire on Mass Pike

GRAFTON — On the afternoon of Friday, October 3, 2025, Grafton Fire Department crews responded to a fully involved car fire on the Massachusetts Turnpike westbound near mile marker 98, according to a post by the department.

Engine 1, Engine 5, and Car 2 were dispatched to the scene following a report from the Massachusetts State Police.

When firefighters arrived on scene, the occupants of the vehicle had already exited the car, which was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire also caused a small roadside brush fire, which was extinguished by crew members of Engine 5. The crew from Engine 5 also provided additional water supply to Engine 1 to assist with suppression efforts.

There were no injuries reported. The vehicle was deemed a total loss.
