Ambulance transporting patient collides with vehicle on Mass Pike in Grafton

GRAFTON — The Grafton Fire Department responded this afternoon to a motor-vehicle crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike at mile marker 99.2 westbound involving an ambulance that was transporting a patient.

According to a statement from the Grafton Fire Department posted to Facebook at approximately 2:41 p.m., Engine 1 arrived to find a Subaru Forester with Connecticut plates that had collided with the ambulance during snowy conditions.

“All injuries were minor and transported to area hospitals,” the Grafton Fire Department said in its statement.

The department reminded drivers to take their time when driving in inclement weather.

“Don’t crowd the vehicle in front of you and keep your speeds down,” the Grafton Fire Department said in its post. “Also keep your car clear of snow and ice and remember to move over if you see emergency personnel helping others.”
