BEDFORD — On Wednesday, Oct. 8, at approximately 1:03 a.m., Bedford police were dispatched to the area of Old Billerica Road and Burlington Road following reports of gunfire.
According to a statement from Bedford’s Police Chief John Fisher, when police arrived on scene, they found several shell casings in the area.
“A preliminary investigation determined that an incident involving an alleged robbery originated in Lowell and subsequently spread into Bedford,” Chief Fisher said in the statement. “During the incident, the suspect, who was seen driving a white Mercedes, shot at the victim’s vehicle. The victim was in the process of reporting the robbery to the police when their car was shot at.”
No injuries were reported, and Bedford police said they believe this was an isolated incident.
