Woman killed in two-car crash in Bolton

BOLTON — On Saturday, Oct. 11 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Bolton police responded to the area of Wattaquadock Hill Road and Old Bay Road following reports of a two-car motor vehicle accident.

According to a statement from Bolton Police Lieutenant Kimberly Barry, when police arrived on scene, they located the aftermath of a car accident between a Honda SUV and a Ford F-350 pickup truck, which were both significantly damaged.

“A preliminary investigation suggests that the Honda SUV was traveling southwest from Old Bay Road, before striking the pickup truck that was traveling north on Wattaquadock,” Lt. Barry said in the statement.

The driver of the Honda SUV, a 59-year-old woman, was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 20-year-old man, did not report any injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Bolton police, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
