WORCESTER — The Worcester Police Department announced today that detectives located the body of a missing woman inside a vehicle on Mount Vernon Street Monday afternoon.
According to a statement from the Worcester Police Department, at approximately 4 p.m. on Nov. 3, officers discovered a deceased female inside a grey Mitsubishi Outlander in the area of 27 Mount Vernon Street. The woman was later identified as 30-year-old Joanna Brown, who had been reported missing by her family on Sunday, Nov. 2.
Police said the circumstances surrounding Brown’s death remain under active investigation by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and the Worcester Police Detective Bureau.
