According to the department’s National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) narrative — an official report submitted to the U.S. Fire Administration outlining emergency response actions — which Shrewsbury Fire Chief Seth Colby shared with News Link Live via email, firefighters established a roadblock with their apparatus and used Speedy Dry to contain a fluid spill from one of the vehicles.

Paramedics provided medical care at the scene, and two people were transported to the hospital following the crash.
