Man fatally shot outside liquor store in Fall River

FALL RIVER — On Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., police officers with the Fall River Police Department were dispatched to Leonard’s Package Store on Pleasant Street following a report of an altercation between two males.

According to a statement from the Fall River Police Department, when officers arrived on scene, they located an unconscious male who had been shot.

The victim was transported to a trauma center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

The Fall River Police Department said it will provide additional information “as it becomes appropriate to share,” and extended its condolences to the victim and his loved ones.

“The Fall River Police Department offers its sincere and respectful condolences to the deceased and to all who cherished him,” the department said in its statement. “We recognize the significant impact of this loss and extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and loved ones as they navigate this difficult time. The department remains committed to conducting a thorough and dignified investigation in pursuit of justice.”

The incident remains under investigation by the Major Crimes Division in coordination with the Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
