Pedestrian dies after early-morning pickup truck crash in Gloucester

GLOUCESTER — On Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at approximately 5:40 a.m., Gloucester police and firefighters were dispatched to Rogers Street, near where it intersects with Manuel F. Lewis Street, following reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle.

According to a statement from Gloucester Police Chief Edward Conley, when first responders arrived on scene, they located a pedestrian, later identified as Randy Streeter, 57, of Rockport, MA, suffering from serious injuries.

Streeter received treatment at the scene and was transported to Addison Gilbert Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:25 a.m.

Chief Conley said the driver of the pickup truck involved in the crash remained on scene and cooperated with Gloucester Police and the Massachusetts State Police.

The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section responded to the scene. 

Massachusetts State Police are overseeing the investigation, which is ongoing.

“Additional inquiries should be directed to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office,” Chief Conley said his statement.
