Two in their 20s ejected, seriously injured in Pittsfield rollover crash

PITTSFIELD — On Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, the Pittsfield Police Department, Pittsfield Fire Department, and County Ambulance were dispatched to 469 Pecks Road following a report of a motor vehicle rollover accident.

According to a statement from Sergeant David Hallas of the Pittsfield Police Department, when officers arrived on scene, they located both occupants of the vehicle, ages 20 and 21, who had been ejected from the vehicle.

Sergeant Hallas said the preliminary investigation indicates that a Toyota Corolla, traveling southbound on Pecks Road at a high rate of speed, lost control, struck and broke a utility pole, then struck two vehicles parked in a driveway before rolling over at least twice and ejecting both occupants.

Both occupants were transported to Berkshire Medical Center with serious, life-threatening injuries. Sergeant Hallas said one of the injured individuals was later transferred to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield due to the severity of their injuries.

Pecks Road was closed for approximately five hours between Thomas Island Road and Bromback Street while the crash was investigated and cleared. The roadway reopened at approximately 3:45 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the Pittsfield Police Traffic Unit.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or observed the vehicle traveling on Pecks Road shortly before the incident is asked to contact Sergeant David Hallas at 448-9700 ext. 560 or Officer Matthew Farnham at ext. 531.
