BLACKSTONE — On Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, at approximately 12:35 p.m., Blackstone fire and police units were dispatched to a residence on David Drive after a contractor fell from the roof of the home.
According to a statement from Blackstone Fire Chief Kevin Roy, when first responders arrived on scene, they located the contractor, who, while working on the roof of the home, fell approximately 15 feet from the rooftop of the house to the roof of the attached garage.
“Due to the cold and icy conditions present — and because the victim was still more than 10 feet up on the garage roof — firefighters performed a delicate and careful extrication, successfully moving the patient from the roof to the ground,” Chief Roy said. “The victim, who was patient and speaking with rescuers the entire time, sustained multiple traumatic injuries and was considered in serious condition.”
The contractor was transported to a trauma center by medical helicopter.
Chief Roy said the victim’s name is not being released.
