Man arrested in connection with standoff in Leominster, death of woman

LEOMINSTER — On Friday, Dec. 26, 2025, at approximately 2:55 p.m., Leominster police responded to a 911 call at a Union Street residence.

According to a statement from Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr., a man was taken into custody following a multi-hour standoff involving the Leominster Police Department and multiple Massachusetts State Police units, including detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office, the Special Tactical Operations (STOP) Unit, K-9 Unit, and Crisis Negotiation Unit.

During the response, a woman was located inside the residence and pronounced dead at the scene.

The man is expected to be arraigned Monday in Leominster District Court.

“Due to the domestic nature of this incident, no additional information will be released at this time,” Early said in his office’s statement.

The incident remains under investigation by the Leominster Police Department and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
