CLINTON — On Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at approximately 11:58 p.m., Officer Adam Prentiss of the Clinton Police Department was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Chestnut and Grove streets when he saw a blue Hyundai Tucson with Massachusetts plates and a defective headlight turn onto Grove Street.

“At this time, I activated my emergency blue lights and conducted a traffic stop,” Officer Prentiss said. “As I approached the driver’s side of the vehicle, I requested the license of the operator and registration of the vehicle.”
Officer Prentiss said the operator of the vehicle, later identified as 50-year-old Todd Pafume, told him that he didn’t have a license.
“I requested his name and date of birth and returned to my cruiser,” Officer Prentiss said.
Officer Prentiss ran Pafume’s information through the mobile data terminal (MDT) in his cruiser and learned that Pafume had an expired (non-renewable) license.
“Upon further investigation, it was discovered Todd also had an active warrant out of Uxbridge District Court,” Officer Prentiss said. “Todd was taken into custody without further incident and transported back to the Clinton Police Department. He was booked and afforded all applicable rights. Todd was issued Massachusetts Uniform Citation [# redacted].”
Todd Pafume was arrested and charged with the following crimes/violations:
- Warrant Arrest
- Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Lights Violation
Disclaimer: If you are wondering why the arrest in this story took place earlier this month, that’s because I had to file FOIA request(s) to obtain the court documents. FOIAs are time-consuming.
