ACTON — On Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at approximately 3:40 p.m., firefighters with the Acton Fire Department were dispatched to the business complex at 16 Craig Road following reports that the fire alarm had been activated.
According to a statement from Acton Fire Chief Anita Arnum, when crews arrived on scene, they discovered that the sprinkler system had activated in one of the complex’s units, where a fire broke out.
“The fire was contained by the sprinkler system and extinguished by the Acton Fire Department,” Chief Arnum said.
The unit sustained fire, smoke, and water damage. Adjacent units also sustained smoke and water damage.
No injuries were reported.
The Maynard and Concord fire departments provided mutual aid at the scene, while the Westford, Littleton, and Stow fire departments assisted with station coverage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the District 14 Fire Investigation Team, which includes members of the Acton, Wayland, Concord, and Natick fire departments.
