Leominster man arrested after he was caught on video threatening brother with box cutter

LEOMINSTER โ€” On Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Officer Tanner Jakola of the Leominster Police Department said he was dispatched to a residence on Vezina Avenue for the second time that day and the fourth time in the last two days regarding brothers Glen Todd and Joseph Todd who reside together in an apartment there.

โ€œGlen was arrested yesterday for assault with a dangerous weapon (knife), vandalism, and witness intimidation,โ€ Officer Jakola said. โ€œJoseph was arrested Tuesday for assault and battery. There are at least two open cases involving Joseph and Glen. I was just finishing a report that involved the two brothers when Glen called and stated Joseph had broken into his apartment. Joseph and Todd are both residents of 91 Vezina Avenue.โ€

According to police, Glen W. Todd, 50, is a resident of 91 Vezina Avenue, Apt. [# redacted], Leominster, MA.

Officer Jakola said that when he arrived on scene with Officer Braden Carlson, both Glen and Joseph were out in the driveway.

โ€œI spoke with Glen while Officer Carlson spoke with Joseph out of earshot from one another,โ€ Officer Jakola said. โ€œGlen was explaining to me that Joseph had broken down the door that leads from the first floor to the basement.โ€ Officer Jakola said his previous report had already mentioned this damage.

โ€œWhile I was speaking with Glen, Officer Carlson came over and asked Glen where the knife was,โ€ Officer Jakola said. โ€œGlen was searched and a box cutter was found in his left pocket.โ€

Officer Jakola said he had Sergeant Elvin Vazquez, who also responded to the scene, stand by with Glen while he spoke with Officer Carlson, who told him Joseph had shown him a video he took of Glen brandishing a box cutter and pushing him.

โ€œI spoke with Joseph who stated the following: He was cleaning up the sunroom and basement when he heard Glen come down stairs,โ€ Officer Jakola said. โ€œJoseph entered the basement kitchen and saw his massage table get thrown from the bedroom into the kitchen. Joseph then entered the bedroom and saw Glen going through a tote with his things in it.โ€

Glen told Officer Jakola that when he saw Joseph, he pulled a box cutter from his pocket, crouched down, drew it back in one hand as if he were going to attack, and said something along the lines of, โ€œWhatโ€™s up, b*tch a$$!โ€

โ€œJoseph grabbed his phone and began to record,โ€ Officer Jakola said. โ€œGlen got close to Joseph and pushed him with his hand. The box cutter did not make contact with Joseph.โ€

Officer Jakola said he watched the video which did, indeed, show Glen brandishing the knife.

โ€œThe two were arguing,โ€ Officer Jakola said. โ€œGlen yelled, โ€˜Get out of my room,โ€™ and walked toward Joseph. The camera angle goes up and back as Glen got closer to Joseph, leading me to believe Joseph was pushed.โ€

Officer Jakola said he asked Glen if he threatened Joseph with a knife.

โ€œHe stated he did not and asked if I was going to arrest him,โ€ Officer Jakola said. โ€œI told Glen to turn around and he was placed under arrest.โ€

Officer Carlson transported Glen back to the station for booking.

โ€œJoseph let me in the home where I was able to see if there was any damage to the door Glen was talking about,โ€ Officer Jakola said. โ€œThere was damage to the basement doorโ€™s doorknob and minor damage (dents) to the side door. I believe there would have been more damage to the door frame if Joseph did kick down the door like Glen said.โ€

Officer Jakola said that he had Joseph come to the station and write a written statement, an excerpt of which states the following:

โ€œWhen I arrived home at 91 Vezina Ave, I made a video of the damage that was done to my property. After I started putting my things back into my apartment, as I was grabbing my blankets, I heard my brother, Glen Todd, in my apartment. As I walked in, I watched my massage table being thrown and my brother Glen was attempting to move a tote. When I stepped in front he said โ€˜Get the f*ck out my room motherf*cka.โ€™ Then he pulled a razor/box cutter out of his pocket and crouched down and said โ€˜Letโ€™s go motherf*cka b*tch a$$ [N-word].โ€™ I said, โ€˜You going to kill me?โ€™ I went and grabbed my phone. When I started making a video, he called 911.โ€ ย

Officer Jakola said that Joseph also showed him another video he had taken of Glen while he was waiting for police to arrive.

In the video, Officer Jakola said Glen is standing in the driveway and the two are arguing.

โ€œIn part of the video, Glen says, โ€˜I donโ€™t give a f*ck Iโ€™m pressing [N-word]. Iโ€™ll go to jail to put you away!โ€ Officer Jakola recounted. Later adding, โ€œI went over the pertinent domestic violence paperwork with Joseph.โ€ Officer Jakola also told Joseph to go to court for a restraining order.

Glen W. Todd, 50, of 91 Vezina Avenue was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (box cutter)
  • Assault & Battery
  • Witness Intimidation: โ€œThere are at least two open court cases between Glen and Joseph Todd and this incident is an extension of those cases,โ€ Officer Jakola said.

Glen was arraigned in Leominster District Court on Dec. 22, 2025. Following his arraignment, he was released on personal recognizance under the condition that he stay away from/not contact Joseph and stay away from 91 Vezina Avenue.

Glenโ€™s next court date is a pretrial conference hearing scheduled for Jan. 28, 2026.

Disclaimer: If you are wondering why the arrest in this story took place in December, thatโ€™s because I had to file FOIA request(s) to obtain the court documents. FOIAs are time-consuming.
