Lancaster woman charged with keeping house of prostitution in Tyngsborough

TYNGSBOROUGH — A 60-year-old Lancaster woman was charged by Tyngsborough police for keeping a house of prostitution and sexual conduct for a fee after a monthslong investigation.

According to a statement from the Tyngsborough Police Department, the investigation began in May 2025, when Tyngsborough Police were contacted by Somerset police about an investigation into two businesses operating in Somerset and Tyngsborough.

In the months that followed, Tyngsborough police and troopers assigned to the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victim Unit conducted surveillance at the Healthy Wellness Spa, located at 130 Middlesex Road, Unit 1, police said. The Middlesex Sheriff’s Office provided language translation support during the investigation, the Tyngsborough Police Department reported.

Tyngsborough police detectives later executed a search warrant at the spa and seized U.S. currency, a ledger containing client information, and other items police said were believed to be connected to ongoing criminal activity.

Police said they also obtained an arrest warrant for the business manager, identified as Chun Xiang Cao.

Chun Xiang Cao was charged with:

  • Keeping a House of Prostitution
  • Maintaining a House of Prostitution
  • Sexual Conduct for a Fee

Cao was arraigned in Lowell District Court and released on personal recognizance, police said. She is scheduled to return to court on March 11.
