Webster man arrested for throwing trash can at girlfriend who upset him while he had a headache

WEBSTER — On Monday, April 6, 2026, at approximately 10:13 p.m., Officer Nicholas Caruso responded to an apartment on Lake Street after a woman called 911 to report that her boyfriend was intoxicated and destroying their apartment.

Officer Caruso stated that he arrived a short time later and spoke with the reporting party, Nicole. Also present was her cousin, Gabriella.

Nicole told Officer Caruso that her boyfriend, Tyler Henry, was intoxicated and destroying their apartment.

“Nicole stated her boyfriend Mr. [Tyler] Henry was intoxicated and destroying their apartment,” Officer Caruso said. “Inside the apartment, I could see there was trash and debris thrown around the kitchen. There was also a trash can turned on its side.”

According to police, Tyler B. Henry, 27, is a resident of Webster, MA.

Officer Caruso asked Nicole if she had been harmed by Henry, and she replied that she had not.

“Gabriella then added that Mr. Henry had thrown the trash can, which was filled with garbage and empty alcohol bottles, at Nicole,” Officer Caruso said. “Nicole affirmed this statement saying she was doing dishes when Mr. Henry threw the trash can at her.”

Officer Caruso then spoke with Henry.

“Mr. Henry was highly intoxicated. Mr. Henry was having a difficult time giving his statement due to his level of intoxication and being distracted by Nicole,” Officer Caruso said. “Ultimately, Mr. Henry admitted to destroying the apartment. He stated he was upset because Nicole was upsetting him while he was trying to lay down with a headache.”

Officer Caruso said that, based on the facts and circumstances, he determined that Nicole and Gabriella were credible and Henry was the dominant aggressor.

Henry was placed under arrest and transported to the Webster Police Station for booking.

“After he was read his Miranda rights, Mr. Henry stated something to the effect of: ‘All I did was throw a trash can at her’ to Officer Francheska Cedeno,” Officer Caruso said. Adding, “Mr. Henry proved uncooperative in booking and could not be fingerprinted.”

Tyler Henry, 27, of Webster, was charged with the following:

  • Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (to wit, trash can)

“Nicole indicated on a Webster Police Department Abused Person’s Notice of Rights Form that she did not wish to file charges or obtain a restraining order,” Officer Caruso noted.

Henry was arraigned in Dudley District Court on April 7, 2026. Following his arraignment, he was released on personal recognizance under the condition that he not abuse the alleged victim.

Henry’s next court date is a pretrial hearing scheduled for May 26, 2026.
