โ€œDepatsy informed me he has a suspended driverโ€™s license,โ€ Officer Pepin said. Officer Pepin said the information was confirmed through the FBIโ€™s Criminal Justice Information Services database (CJIS), which showed that Depatsyโ€™s license had been suspended as of March 9, 2026.

Officer Pepin said he requested a certified copy of the license suspension and a certified copy of the registration revocation. He also requested a tow.

Officer Pepin said he observed an oblong white pill on the center console, along with an unmarked prescription bottle and three loose suspected pills. Gabapentin was also recovered from the center console area.

Officer Pepin said Garrity also provided Officer Ives Fisher โ€” who also responded to the scene โ€” with an unmarked prescription bottle containing eight pills suspected to be Gabapentin, Baclofen (a muscle relaxer), and Alprazolam (a benzodiazepine).

Jared Depatsy, 45, of West Boylston, was arrested and charged with:

  • Operate Motor Vehicle with License Suspended
  • Operate Motor Vehicle with Registration Suspended
  • Uninsured Motor Vehicle
  • Possess Class E Drug (Gabapentin)

Michael Garrity of Cherry Valley, was arrested and charged with:

โ€œThe suspected drugs will be sent to UMASS Drugs of Abuse Lab and logged as evidence,โ€ Officer Pepin said.

Depatsyโ€™s bail was set at $500. Garrityโ€™s bail was set at personal recognizance.

According to Officer Pepin, Garrity was later released and Depatsy was transferred to the Worcester County Sheriffโ€™s Office Safe Keep Program to be held until his arraignment.
