Milford man charged with assault with intent to murder, assault to maim after knife attack

MILFORD — On Monday, June 8, 2026, at approximately 12:46 p.m., Milford Public Safety Communications received a 911 call from the south-central section of Milford reporting that an individual had lacerations to the neck and shoulder area.

According to the Milford Police Department, when officers arrived on scene at approximately 12:50 p.m., they located the victim who had visible knife wounds to their hands, neck, and face.

While speaking with the 911 caller at the scene, police were directed to a nearby residence where the incident was believed to have taken place. The Milford Police Department reported that while they were inside the home, police observed a large amount of blood in different areas throughout the residence.

“This incident represents a deeply disturbing act of violence that resulted in serious physical and emotional injuries to the victim,” said Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino. “We are fortunate that this incident did not result in a loss of life.”

According to the Milford Police Department, Raghavendar Juluru, 46, of Milford, was arrested as a result of the investigation and charged with the following:

  • Assault with Intent to Murder
  • Assault & Battery
  • Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Kidnapping
  • Assault to Maim
  • Carrying a Dangerous Weapon

Following his arrest, Juluru was held on $50,000 cash bail.
