SHREWSBURY โ On Sunday, April 26, 2026, at approximately 8:47 p.m., Detective Chad Chysna of the Shrewsbury Police Department was on patrol in the area of 151 Hartford Turnpike when he observed several individuals allegedly smoking illegal narcotics in a vehicle with Florida plates.

โI have received numerous complaints over the past several months of illegal activity involving larcenies, assaults, illegal drug use, and sales,โ Detective Chysna said. โI observed [30-year-old] Pedro Juan Murillo-Ortega, [25-year-old] Brianna Davey, and [46-year-old] Thanh [last name redacted] smoking illegal narcotics inside a blue Acura SUV bearing Florida registration [# redacted]. This vehicle pulled out onto Hartford Turnpike and accelerated at a greater than reasonable speed in an attempt to avoid me. I also observed a broken driver’s side window.โ
Detective Chysna caught up to the vehicle and stopped it in the parking lot of the Market Basket located at 200 Hartford Turnpike.
โI approached the vehicle and immediately observed illegal narcotics and paraphernalia in the vehicle,โ Detective Chysna said. โMr. Murillo was observed removing a large, unopened knife, concealing it directly in front of him. I ordered all three parties out of the vehicle.โ
Detective Chysna said that, after a search, Murillo-Ortega was found in possession of crystal meth, and Davey was found with crack cocaine and heroin on her person. Both parties were arrested.
Pedro Juan Murillo-Ortega, 30, was charged with the following:
- Possess Class B Drug (methamphetamine)
Detective Chysna said Murillo-Ortega also had two warrants for his arrest out of Worcester District Court, both on charges of shoplifting by asportation, third offense.
Brianna Davey, 25, of Oxford, MA, was charged with the following:
- Possess Class A Drug, Subsequent Offense (heroin)
- Possess Class B Drug, Subsequent Offense (crack cocaine)
Detective Chysna said Davey also had the following outstanding warrants at the time of her arrest:
- Straight warrant out of Worcester District Court for possess Class B drug
- Straight warrant out of Worcester District Court for possess Class B drug and trespassing
- Straight warrant out of Worcester District Court for possess Class B drug
- Default warrant out of Worcester District Court for breaking & entering for misdemeanor and breaking & entering in the daytime for felony
Davey was arraigned in Westborough District Court on April 27, 2026. Following her arraignment, she was released on $500 cash bail. She then attended a pretrial hearing on May 28, 2026.
Daveyโs next court appearance is scheduled for June 25, 2026.
