BELLINGHAM — Two residents died following an overnight house fire on Temi Road near Caroline Drive.
According to Bellingham Firefighters Local 2071, Group 2 crews responded to the structure fire at approximately 12:40 a.m. this morning.
Bellingham police said officers responded to the area to assist the Bellingham Fire Department while crews battled the fire.
Fire crews cleared the scene at approximately 6:55 a.m.
In an update, police said the two residents of the home succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the hospital.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy,” the Bellingham Police Department said.
The incident remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, with assistance from Bellingham police detectives.
Police said any additional information will be released by the Bellingham Fire Department.
