ACTON — On Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at approximately 3:35 p.m., Acton police and firefighters responded to the CVS Pharmacy at 344 Great Road following a report that a vehicle had crashed into the building.
According to Acton Police Chief Douglas Sturniolo and Fire Chief Anita Arnum, when first responders arrived on scene, they found a 2011 Jaguar sedan that had crashed through an exterior wall of the business and into the store.
The driver, an 83-year-old Acton woman, and her passenger, an 88-year-old Acton man, were not injured. No shoppers or store employees were injured either, officials said.

Police submitted an immediate threat request to the Registry of Motor Vehicles seeking the suspension or revocation of the driver’s license.
The Acton Building Commissioner also responded to assess the building.

The vehicle was removed from the scene, but the business will remain closed until the damage is repaired.
The crash remains under investigation by the Acton Police Department.
