TAUNTON — A 31-year-old Taunton woman was arrested after a domestic disturbance at a Dighton Road home that allegedly involved her boyfriend and a disabled man.

According to Officer Soraya Leon, officers responded to 6 Dighton Road at approximately 9:29 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, for a domestic violence incident.
When officers arrived on scene, a 56-year-old resident of the home told police that Angelina DiCienzo had returned home from work behaving aggressively, yelling and throwing items around the household.
According to police, Angelina Louise DiCienzo, 31, is a resident of Dighton Road, Taunton, MA.
The resident said that, in order to de-escalate the situation, he allowed Jesse Fernandez, DiCienzo’s 33-year-old boyfriend who also lived at the Dighton Road home, to hide in his bedroom while he stood in the doorway to keep the two separated.
“[The resident] explained that Angelina began screaming in his face and pushed him backwards multiple times with both hands. Note that [the roommate] mentioned he is disabled and currently collects social security payments,” Officer Leon said. “He stated that the pushing caused his legs, back, and neck to ache. [The resident] denied any need for medical assistance at this time. He expressed his desire for both Jesse and Angelina to leave his residence permanently. He was advised of the eviction process and how to obtain an eviction notice from the courthouse.”
Officer Leon also reported that during the altercation involving DiCienzo and Fernandes, DiCienzo allegedly destroyed Fernandes’ Motorola cellphone. Officer Leon said Fernandes was advised of his right to seek a restraining order and how to petition the court for one.
“Following our discussion, Jesse requested to be transported to the hospital for an evaluation due to his sustained head injury,” Officer Leon said.
Officer Leon said that, based on the statements provided by Fernandes and the resident, DiCienzo was placed under arrest.
“She was handcuffed firm to the skin, not to impede circulation and double-locked for safety,” Officer Leon said. Adding, “Angelina was then placed into the back of a patrol cruiser for transport.”
Fernandes was also taken into custody on an unrelated outstanding Taunton District Court warrant for failing to appear for a probation matter involving charges of possession of Class A and Class B substances.
Both DiCienzo and Fernandes were then transported to the Taunton Police Department for booking.
Shortly after arriving at the police station, Brewster paramedics transported Fernandes from the booking area to Morton Hospital for evaluation of his head injury.
Officer John Reilly accompanied Fernandes to the hospital and remained at the hospital until he was relieved by Officer Aaron Ferreira.
Angelina L. DiCienzo, 31, of Taunton, was charged with the following:
- Assault & Battery on +60/Disabled
- Assault on Family/Household Member
- Malicious Destruction of Property -$1200
DiCienzo was arraigned in Taunton District Court on July 3, 2026. Following her arraignment, DiCienzo was ordered to stay away from and have no contact with the 56-year-old man who lives at the Dighton Road home. She was also ordered not to abuse Fernandes.
DiCienzo’s next court date is a pretrial hearing scheduled for Sept. 16, 2026.
