Man arrested after stabbing in Leominster

LEOMINSTER — On Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at approximately 8:31 p.m., Leominster police responded to a report of two men chasing a woman near Monarch Street.

According to Leominster Police Chief Ryan D. Malatos, when officers arrived on scene, they determined that the two men had been involved in an argument stemming from an incident several days earlier and one of the men had been stabbed in the thigh.

The stab victim was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, where he was expected to survive his injuries.

Investigators subsequently determined that the suspected assailant was inside an apartment at Riverside Village Apartments on State Street. The Leominster Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau then obtained an arrest warrant.
