CONCORD — A car and an MBTA Fitchburg Commuter Rail train collided at the Sudbury Road railroad crossing at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026.
Following the collision, the train remained stopped while passengers disembarked. The driver of the SUV was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Concord Police Department closed Sudbury Road between Grant Street and Thoreau Street while emergency crews responded to the crash.
