BELLINGHAM — On Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026, at approximately 9:08 a.m., the Bellingham Communications Center received a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a parked vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of 96 Farm Street. Bellingham police and fire personnel responded to the scene.
According to Bellingham Police Lieutenant Stephen Daigle, when first responders arrived on scene, they determined that a truck had collided with a parked landscaping truck and trailer. A person who was on the trailer when the crash occurred was struck and thrown approximately 15 to 20 feet.
Bellingham fire personnel treated the individual at the scene before they were airlifted to an area trauma center.
The driver of the other truck remained at the scene and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment.
Lieutenant Daigle said the crash was witnessed and that speed was not a factor.
The Bellingham Police Department is investigating the crash with assistance from the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council Accident Reconstruction Team.
