FITCHBURG — Massachusetts State Police’s tactical teams are on Oliver Street responding to an ongoing situation involving an armed suspect.
State Police announced the incident in a Tweet at 3:32 p.m. this afternoon.
According to 7News, no police have been injured so far, but a police dog was shot in the standoff.

Firefighters responded to a porch fire in South Fitchburg on Monday afternoon, preventing further damage and ensuring no injuries were reported.
According to police, when they arrived on scene, the man shouted obscenities at officers in the parking lot, prompting customers from nearby businesses to come outside and film the incident on their cell phones. When asked to identify himself, he responded by yelling “NONE YA!” at the officers.
After he was arrested, police say they found shotgun shells and several rounds of ammunition in the man’s truck.
